Materials:
  • One-to-one laptop/computers
  • Access to internet
  • Pencils
  • Paper
  • Projector
  • Screen
Before
  • When teachers register, they will be asked for their email address. I will invite them to join the two wikis that we will be looking at. They should do so prior to the start of the session. I will share a Google document with them at that time as well. It will be used during the PD session.
  • I would like the room to be set up in either one or two tight semi-circles with computers facing in and participants with their backs to each other. They should be able to see the presentation screen over their computers. This will facilitate communication and collaboration during the time when teachers are creating their own sites. They will be able to see each others' screens without having to get up.
During
  • Begin promptly at 9:00 or 12:30 for a 3-hour session. Break to happen during independent blog assignment time
  • Follow the Google presentation outline
  • Tea, coffee, water and juice will be made available and participants should come and go as needed
Follow Up
  • Teachers will have access to mutually created Google document and the presentation document
  • Teachers will have my email, blog and wiki sites
  • Additional resources and follow up is included in the presentation document
  • Hopefully, especially for those attendees from my school, I will be able to offer some time one-to-one or connect them with someone from their school
